RAV BOOTS - SECOND LIFE

This project is part of a collection of clothing and assets I created for a client. As I post each piece, I’ll include links to the corresponding pieces collection.

She shared the concept for this boot and explained exactly how she wanted it. With everything agreed upon, we moved on to the most important part: sculpting and modeling. In this case, the process flowed very smoothly and even exceeded the client’s expectations.


 

We then moved on to retopology. One of the client’s requirements was that the meshes should not have very noticeable hard edges—the visual quality was more important than extreme optimization. My approach is usually a balance between the two: keeping the asset optimized without sacrificing visual quality.

When it came to texturing, she gave me creative freedom. Her only request was a “new product” look—a boot that just came out of the box and has been worn only a few times. I added subtle dirt and wear to give it a more realistic feel.
And this is the final look of the project!”
